JUST EVOLVE. MAKE IT APP-DESKTOPS . Port all of these for the I-pad! Make an app. I’ll finance it.

Thanks so much for all the work you’ve done over the years. I’ve been following your site religiously for most of that time (early in the last decade). You’ve always done a great job of marrying both high quality wallpaper images to interesting, unique subject matters. Your work will be missed, at least by me.

MacDesktops will remain online (see the next blog post). The announcements did get messed up for several days. Thanks for the heads up about the emails. That was supposed to be fixed a few days ago. I hope Dreamhost will be able to fix it early this week.

Sorry to hear that it is going. I’ve enjoyed it a lot over the years. Part of the daily routine to look at the images. Will you keep it online so we can reach what is already there? I used to be a frequent sub-missioner of pictures but have been too busy for the last couple of years to submit any. Sorry about that.
I have a collection of presently 1696 desktop pictures saved, which are shown randomly on my desktop. Most of them from macdesktops.com. The oldest one – that is marked witch macdesktops.com – is from April 1999 an called sky, by Alex Ryan.
By the way. Presently the email about the days pictures comes one day too late. So when you go there the images are already yesterdays pictures…. Or is that an effect of different time-zones? (I’m in Sweden).
