I did submit a complaint to the CSLB at the same time that I sued him for damages. He takes forever to do small tasks and needs to be called back to complete them. His "reasonable" prices are not reasonable. He either ends up charging more because he did not know what the job would take or you end up paying someone else a lot of money to fix his mistakes. We couldn't agree more about his problems with taking on large jobs. We found out (too late for us) that he has been sued a number of times for shoddy work and for saying he has experience at tasks that he does not have. We also found out too late that many disputes with him were "settled" after the homeowner or business who hired him agreed not to report him to the contractor regulation folks. We were shocked at his poor work and work ethics. We were more shocked to find that bad or dishonest contractors are allowed to make agreeements to prevent consumers from finding out just how bad they are. There ought to be a law!
