• not be in violation of any copyrights
• be 1600x1200 or larger, pictures smaller than 1280x1024 will not be considered
• be in layered Photoshop format (preferred), maximum quality JPEG, maximum quality PNG, or a similarly high quality format
• be stuffed in .sit (not self-extracting), .zip, or .gz format if it is a Photoshop file (there is no reason to stuff JPEGs, PNGs or other compressed formats)
• not include a copyright tag; I will add one that is legible for each resolution

Due to the volume of submissions, the backlog of images sometimes gets to be several months long. Please do not follow up with inquiries asking if or when your picture will get posted. If your picture is selected and posted to MacDesktops.com, you will receive email notification on the morning the picture appears on the site to the address you provide in the submission form.

When sending submissions, always use the link below. An email window should pop up with a form included in the body of the email. Fill in the form completely.

For the Category field, please choose one of the categories listed in the Picture Archive "window" on this page.

For the keywords field, please include any words you would use to describe the picture and any words someone might stick into the search box (also in the Picture Archive "window" in order to find your picture.

Posting Policy

• Pictures are generally considered in the order they are received
• blurry or grainy pictures are not considered
• pictures which do not scale well to the largest size are discarded (even if I like them)
• tasteful nudes are considered
• non-tasteful nudes are not posted
• sorry, my taste counts, not yours
• time sensitive images are sometimes fast tracked, e.g. new Apple products, holiday pictures, special events (adding "(Time Sensitive)" to the end of the subject line increases the chance that I'll notice in time)
• I wish I could post all of the submissions, but I can't.
